Ex-Stripper Mayor Faces Staged Attack Charges

A former stripper recently ousted as mayor of Georgetown appeared in court on charges she staged an attack on herself. She also announced she had posed nude for Playboy magazine’s Web site.
Koleen Brooks, 37, allegedly made a false report to police about being attacked in February near her home. Residents speculated Brooks invented the story about the attack to garner sympathy.
In a Clear Creek County Court hearing, Brooks asked for a change of venue because of publicity.
The former exotic dancer was ousted in a recall vote last week after a stormy year in office.
