Ex-Assembly Speaker Joins Mayoral Race

Former GOP Assembly speaker Curt Pringle, whose family owned an Anaheim drapery business for 25 years, said Tuesday that he will run for mayor.
Pringle, 42, now a lobbyist with his firm, Curt Pringle & Associates in Irvine, announced his candidacy in a letter to former supporters and donors.
“I like what I’m doing. However, I still have a commitment for community service,” Pringle said.
