Police Search for Missing 2-Year-Old

Police continued Friday to search for 2-year-old Jahi Turner, who was reported missing Thursday from a public park by his stepfather.
Tieray Jones, 23, told police that he left the boy alone for 15 minutes while he went for a soda and came back to find him missing. The boy’s mother, Tameka Jones, 18, an enlisted sailor, was at sea.
Police spokesman David Cohen said police are treating the case as a kidnapping. “We simply do not believe the boy wandered away by himself,” he said.
Police used tracking dogs to comb the area near Balboa Park. Police also searched the apartment complex where the family lives.
