Science File Moving to New Home

Share

With today’s issue, Science File is being discontinued as a separate page in Monday’s Section A. The Times’ science coverage will continue with stories on the front page and in other sections of the paper, including California, Health and Business.

Science File is ending to allow editors and reporters to dedicate more time to report and write on the most significant subjects. Our priority is putting science and medicine articles on Page One as news stories, features and Column One reports. Our goal is to improve coverage of science and medicine, not to diminish it.

Science briefs will now run in Section A on Saturdays. K.C. Cole’s column, Mind Over Matter, will be discontinued, although Cole will continue reporting on the worlds of physics and math as a staff writer.
