Sony to License Anti-Piracy Products
ContentGuard Inc., a Bethesda, Md., company that provides anti-piracy technology, is expected to announce today a deal with Sony Corp. to license its digital rights management products.
ContentGuard holds patents on the technological building blocks necessary to make the digital delivery of music, movies and other files secure. Sony previously had licensed digital rights management technologies from InterTrust Technologies Corp. of Santa Clara, Calif. It is expected to promote a standards-based approach to secure delivery of digital entertainment.
