Petsmart’s Profit Triples as Sales Climb

Petsmart Inc. said third-quarter profit more than tripled as more customers took advantage of pet services such as grooming.
Net income increased to $20.6 million, or 14 cents a share, from $5.82 million, or 5 cents, a year earlier, the Phoenix-based firm said. Sales rose 9.8% to $657.4 million.
Petsmart shares fell 74 cents to $18.31 on Nasdaq.
