Burger King: Secret Accuser Can’t Sue
Burger King Corp. said in Los Angeles County Superior Court that the leader of an environmental group suing the restaurant chain over claims its fries contain a chemical suspected of causing cancer must identify himself or risk having the suit dismissed.
Raphael Metzger, lawyer for the Council for Education and Research on Toxics, said he intentionally omitted the name of the college professor to spare him publicity.
Judge George Wu said he would consider whether the omission should be grounds for a dismissal.
