Saddleback Meadows Foes Sue to Stop Project

Opponents of a housing development in Saddleback Meadows filed a lawsuit Monday alleging that the plans violate environmental laws as well as state code and may have been approved to preserve employment positions in the county’s Planning Department.
The plan was approved by the Board of Supervisors last month. Monday’s lawsuit, filed in Orange County Superior Court, names the county as well as California Quartet Limited and Aradi Inc. which own the land in question.
