6 WorldCom Board Members Resign

WorldCom Inc. said six board members resigned. They oversaw the telephone company in the years it racked up more than $9 billion in accounting problems that led to its bankruptcy filing.
The six latest resignations followed last week’s departure of another director. WorldCom’s board is left with three directors appointed in recent months and new Chairman and Chief Executive Michael Capellas, who is seeking to rebuild trust among investors and employees.
