Wally Fassler, 66; Was Chevron’s Main Voice in L.A. Civic Affairs
Wally Fassler, 66, a former regional vice president of Chevron who was the company’s principal representative in community and governmental affairs, died Friday at his Los Angeles home of complications from pancreatic cancer.
Born in Lakeview, Ore., Fassler was a veteran of the Marine Corps Reserves. He graduated from Golden Gate University in San Francisco with a degree in business administration.
He joined Chevron in 1956, working in a number of capacities.
Fassler served on the board of trustees of the Autry Museum of Western Heritage, the board of governors of Town Hall Los Angeles and the board of the councilors of the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development.
He was also chairman of the board of the California Council on Economic Education.
