Unquotable critic
I was rereading the review of “The Two Towers” (“Must Be Geek Love,” Dec. 18) for the third time when I finally figured it out: Manohla Dargis must belong to that refreshing new breed of movie critics who deliberately write turgid, off-the-wall reviews to avoid having a reputation sullied by being quoted in movie ads. Well done!
