3 Children Die in Christmas Day Fire
From Times Wire Reports
Three children died in a Christmas Day fire that destroyed their home, officials said.
The bodies of the children -- ages 4, 6 and 8 -- were found after firefighters put out the blaze, which leveled the single-story wood-frame structure early Wednesday. The fire was too hot for neighbors to douse it with garden hoses, officials said.
Two women and a boy managed to escape the flames, officials said. The names of the victims were not available Thursday. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
