Pilot Injured as Plane Crashes Near Airport

A man suffered minor injuries early Friday afternoon when the engine of his ultralight plane failed and he crashed in a field next to Camarillo Airport, authorities said.
The man’s name was not released, but sheriff’s officials said he lived in the county. He suffered only cuts and scrapes and was treated at a local hospital and released.
The aircraft was heavily damaged in the crash.
