A bank robbery suspect sought by the FBI was arrested by sheriff’s deputies who spotted him at a Dana Point motel, officials said Tuesday.

Guy Christopher Brooks, 31, of Dana Point was being held without bail at Theo Lacy Maximum Security Jail in Orange on suspicion of an Oregon parole violation, false identification and possession of marijuana. Bank robbery charges will be filed later this week, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Brooks is suspected of being the so-called Christmas Bandit, who pulled off at least four heists on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas in Dana Point, Huntington Beach and Lake Forest, Amormino said.
