Almost one-third of the employees fired by Enron have found new jobs less than two months later, an informal survey of more than 600 former employees shows.

That’s about half the average time needed to find work in Texas, where it took workers about 15 weeks to find a job in the second half of last year, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.

Still, many ex-Enron workers saw their retirement savings wiped out by the collapse of Enron stock.
