Ten people have been arrested, including a Robinsons-May employee, on suspicion of stealing about $10,000 worth of clothing from the Canoga Park department store, officials said Tuesday.

Each suspect was charged with one count of burglary, said Det. Robert Phan of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers arrived at the store in the Westfield Shoppingtown Topanga mall on Topanga Canyon Boulevard about 8:30 p.m. Monday, after witnesses saw thieves leaving the store in two cars filled with clothing, police said.

Each is being held in lieu of $15,000 bail at either the West Valley or Van Nuys jails.

Much of the clothing was recovered at the scene, Phan said.
