Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (14-9, 8-7) at Long Beach State (11-16, 7-9), 5--Long Beach continued its late-season run with a 77-74 victory against UC Santa Barbara on Thursday. Freshman Cody Pearson had nine rebounds for the 49ers. Cal Poly will try to bounce back from a 77-63 loss to UC Irvine, a game in which the Mustangs shot only 27% in the second half.

UC Santa Barbara (15-9, 9-6) at UC Irvine (19-8, 12-4), 7, Channel 56, KUCI-FM (88.9)--The Anteaters can solidify the No. 2 spot in the Big West Conference tournament with a victory but, more importantly, a win will leave them within striking range of first-place Utah State, which plays host to Idaho. It will be the final home game for senior All-American candidate Jerry Green, along with J.R. Christ and Dave Korfman. Forward Jordan Harris is averaging 16.5 points and 7.8 rebounds the last four games. Santa Barbara lost its cool in a damaging 77-74 loss at Long Beach State as it tries to secure third place.

Cal State Northridge (9-15, 8-7) at Cal State Fullerton (4-20, 1-14), 7, KCSN-FM (88.5)--Northridge got big games from freshman forward Ian Boylan and senior point guard Markus Carr and ended a five-game losing streak with a 73-64 Big West victory against UC Riverside on Thursday. The Matadors hope the momentum carries over against a Fullerton team that has lost eight consecutive games. Forward Pape Sow had 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 67-61 loss to Pacific.

Pacific (16-9, 8-7) at UC Riverside (8-15, 5-10), 7, KUCR-FM (88.3), KPRO (1570)--Pacific is coming off a 67-61 victory against Fullerton and has lately looked like a team capable of reaching next month’s Big West tournament championship game for the second year in a row. Riverside was defeated by Northridge, 73-64.
