Eight teenagers were injured when their minivan overturned on a dirt road leading to a campground in northeastern San Diego County.

A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old female suffered major head injuries. The others had minor injuries, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Michael Bradley.

There were 10 people in the 1993 Ford Aerostar when it overturned about 12:20 a.m. on the dirt road leading to the Boy Scout camp near Warner Springs. Bradley said the driver had been going too fast.
