Spago Dinner Benefits Kitchen Workers

Top chefs from around the country will join Wolfgang Puck at Spago Beverly Hills Monday night for a special dinner to benefit displaced restaurant workers in New York City.

Flying in for the event will be Todd English of Olives in Boston, Eric Ripert of Le Bernadin in New York, Takashi Yagihashi of Tribute in Detroit and Michael Ginor of Hudson Valley Foie Gras. Conny Anderson of the Four Seasons Beverly Hills will also cook. The dinner is part of a national series organized by an industry group, Chefs Across America, formed after Sept. 11. Tickets are $750 per person. Chefs Across America says that proceeds from the dinners will go to the Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund, City Harvest and the Salvation Army Mobile Kitchen Program.
