Arraignment Set in Slaying of Family of 4
Christian Michael Longo is scheduled to be arraigned today in Newport, Ore., on charges of murdering his wife and three children and dumping their bodies into coastal waters, the Lincoln County district attorney said.
Longo, 27, arrived Tuesday night at Portland International Airport on a commercial flight from Houston. He will be charged with aggravated murder, Dist. Atty. Bernice Barnett said.
Barnett has said she has decided whether to pursue the death penalty for Longo but would not announce her decision until he appears in an Oregon court with a lawyer.
Longo was arrested at a beach camp in Tulum, Mexico.
