Official Says 2 Jacksons on Ballot Is 1 Too Many

A candidate for the seat of Democratic Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. who has the same name should be removed from the March 19 primary election ballot because he probably is there only to confuse voters, an election official said.

Retired truck driver Jesse L. Jackson’s candidacy suggested an effort to create “voter confusion” in the incumbent Jackson’s Chicago district, election official Gregory Schlesinger decided.
