Two Americans Killed in Small-Plane Crash
A small plane crashed in Baja California, killing the two American tourists on board, the Mexican news agency Notimex reported.
Richard Ellery Thomas, 69, and Andir Rizk Maroun, 55, both of California, were killed after the Cessna plane in which they were traveling crashed near an airport in Los Barriles, the report said. Their hometowns were not given.
Maroun was piloting the plane, which took off Sunday morning, the report said. The plane was supposed to land at an airstrip at the Punta Pescadero hotel, but a hotel official said the plane was flying erratically and then crashed.
