Millionaire Charged in 1997 Slaying of Wife

Robert Angleton, a millionaire former bookie was arrested in Houston on murder-for-hire charges in the 1997 shooting death of his wife.
Angleton, 53, is accused of conspiracy to commit murder for hire, murder for hire and a firearms charge, authorities said.
The indictment came several weeks after Vanessa Leggett, who is working on a book about the case, was freed after more than five months in jail for refusing to turn over her research to prosecutors.
