Mighty Mr. Sippee

Good food can turn up in the oddest places, like alongside a gas station on a side street just west of the Harbor Freeway in downtown Los Angeles. That’s where you’ll find a convenience store called Mr. Sippee, which specializes in delicious broasted chicken (broasted means fried in vegetable oil under high pressure) and broasted potatoes. For less than $2, you get a drumstick, a thigh and a helping of potatoes. If you want to spend more, there are additional combinations, family packs and party trays that range up to 96 pieces of chicken.
