College Dean Should Not Plan Land Giveaway
Re “Vast Arts Complex at College Ruled Out,” June 25:
As a taxpayer in the South Orange County Community College District, I expect some accountability from the trustees on the job performance of employees. How could a dean spend months planning a $463-million complex without authorization from the chancellor or the college president? Surprising the board with a proposal to give away 35 acres of public land is not in the job description of a dean.
