MetroStars Win on Jolley’s Goal

Steve Jolley scored the go-ahead goal minutes after Columbus tied the score as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars defeated the Crew, 3-2, Saturday in front of 19,756 at Columbus, Ohio.
Rodrigo Faria and Ross Paule scored for the MetroStars (7-7-2), and Tim Howard made four saves, two after Jolley’s goal.
Brian McBride had a goal and an assist for Columbus (5-8-3) in his first home game since returning from playing for the U.S. World Cup team.
McBride’s U.S. teammate, Clint Mathis, was back with the MetroStars, but left with a sprained right knee 32 minutes into the first half. A team doctor will examine him today.
New England 2, Washington 0--Brian Kamler and Taylor Twellman each scored to lead the Revolution (6-9-1) over D.C. United (6-8-1) in front of 9,747 at Foxboro, Mass. Twellman’s goal was his MLS-leading 13th.
Dallas 1, Kansas City 1--Matt McKeon scored his first goal to lift the Wizards (5-5-6) into a tie against the Burn (7-3-6) in front of 7,461 at Kansas City, Mo. Ronald Cerritos scored for Dallas.
