Share

An upset winner on the California Champions Night program, Valberry Pie will be a much shorter price when he tries for another win in tonight’s seventh, a $12,500 allowance at 350 yards.

Owned by Maria Carlos and trained by Jose Antonio Flores, the 6-year-old Dashing Val gelding was 14-1 when he surprised Go Green Go for his second win of the year on June 22.

Alex Bautista will again be aboard Valberry Pie, who will break from post six in the field of seven.
