Lantronix Says SEC Has Started Probe

Lantronix Inc. said it had been notified that the SEC had initiated a formal investigation of the hardware and software maker.

The Irvine-based company said it believes the investigation will focus on events leading to its recent restatement of financials that were released June 25. Chief Executive Marc Nussbaum said the company is cooperating with the agency.

Lantronix shares were unchanged at 85 cents on Nasdaq.
