Suspicious Bag Leads to Terminal Evacuation
From Times Staff Reports
A terminal at Los Angeles International Airport was evacuated for about an hour Monday because of a suspicious bag that was later determined to hold jars of jam.
Security personnel noticed the bag after it passed through a scanning machine in Terminal 2. The west side of the terminal’s departure area was cleared while a bomb squad investigated. No flights were delayed, airport officials said.
