Urban Planner to Speak to Preservation Group

Author and urban planner William Fulton will speak at the Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation meeting from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 3290 Loma Vista Road.
Fulton, who is president of a public policy research firm, will discuss “Defeating Open 80: What’s Next?” The Open 80 Master Plan is a November ballot measure that would clear the way for construction of 1,390 homes on Ventura’s hillsides.
