A jury did not award enough money to a woman paralyzed from a snowboarding jump, so a judge ordered the Bear Valley Ski Co. to pay an additional $5.3 million or face another trial.

Superior Court Judge Paul Alvarado ruled that the $4.4 million awarded by a jury to Charlene Vine of Murphys was insufficient to compensate for her injuries.
