Share

Looking for his sixth victory in 12 starts, Check Him Out will debut for a new trainer in tonight’s $27,400 Vandys Flash Handicap at 400 yards.

The 3-year-old Hennessy colt, who won the 2001 Ed Burke Futurity, is now trained by Blane Schvaneveldt, who also owns Check Him Out in partnership with John Andreini and breeder Zory Kuzyk. Previously, the California-bred, who has earned nearly $259,000, had raced for Kuzyk and Wayne Lukas and had been trained by Laura Lukas.

The co-highweight with Babe Watcher at 125 pounds in the Vandys Flash, Check Him Out will be making his first start since April 26, when he finished third as the 3-5 favorite in the El Primero Del Ano Derby.
