From Times Wire Reports

Former Sotheby’s Chairman A. Alfred Taubman lost an appeal in his conviction on fixing commission fees with rival auctioneer Christie’s International and is scheduled to begin his 366-day prison term next week.

The U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan affirmed the real estate magnate’s December conviction in the conspiracy case that rocked the rarefied world of the world’s largest auction houses.

Taubman, 78, is scheduled to report to a Rochester, Minn., federal prison that has medical services to treat his failing health.
