From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Police continued their search Saturday for a 14-year-old girl possibly abducted from her home early Friday by a 19-year-old neighbor.

Siskiyou County Sheriff’s officials said they were treating the case like a kidnapping, although they were unsure whether Sandra Lourdez Luna had left voluntarily or had been abducted. Deputies said they had received a call at 2:25 a.m. Friday reporting that Hector Rivera, the girl’s ex-boyfriend, had taken her from her house.

Family members told deputies that the two had had an argument, and that Rivera had become possessive of Sandra in recent weeks. Officers said Saturday they had neither found the pair nor seen the car, a white 1986 Ford Thunderbird with Oregon license plates.
