Gunman Robs Station and Strikes Attendant
A masked gunman robbed a Shell station in Ventura of an undisclosed amount of cash and struck an attendant with a handgun before fleeing with another man, authorities said Sunday.
About 9 p.m. Friday, the gunman entered an area inside the gas station where the 59-year-old attendant was working, said Police Lt. Quinn Fenwick.
After striking the man, the gunman and another male fled on foot north on Kimball Road, Fenwick said. Officers searched the area near the gas station in the 7800 block of Telephone Road but were unable to locate the men, Fenwick said.
