The City Council on Friday unanimously approved the offering of a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the people responsible for a rash of arson fires in Griffith Park.
Since April, 10 fires of suspicious origin have been reported within the 4,100-acre park.
Two fires, one of which consumed 15 acres, were put out earlier this week.
“If anyone knows anything, they should call the Fire Department,” said Councilman Tom LaBonge, whose motion to offer the reward was approved on a 12-0 council vote.
