SPARKS TONIGHT

Share

at Minnesota, 5 PDT

Site--Target Center, Minneapolis.

Radio--KPLS (830).

Records--Sparks 4-1, Lynx 2-2.

Record vs. Lynx (2001)--3-0.

Update--After blowing out Portland, 89-72, Monday, the Sparks lost the momentum generated from the win by having to wait five days for their next game. But Minneapolis has been a good road town for Los Angeles; the Sparks have won all five games played there. The Lynx, whose last game was a 78-68 overtime loss to Seattle on Tuesday, are led by Katie Smith (18.3 points), last year’s top WNBA scorer who is second in the league in three-point shooting percentage (.667). Spark Coach Michael Cooper hopes reserve guard Sophia Witherspoon keeps rolling after scoring 19 points against Portland.
