Workers Approve Pact Ending Hershey Strike

Members of Chocolate Workers Local 464 voted overwhelmingly to approve a new contract with Hershey Foods Corp., ending the longest strike in company history.
The April 26 walkout of 2,700 workers largely idled two plants that make up nearly a quarter of the candy maker’s production.
It was not immediately clear what was in the contract. The major sticking point had been the amount of health care premiums.
