Consulate Car Bombing Claims Another Life
As FBI agents sought clues at the site of a deadly car bombing outside the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, another victim died.
The death toll from Friday’s bombing rose to 12 after an injured constable who was guarding the consulate, Ubaid Ullah, succumbed, a doctor said.
Police said they were taking seriously a claim of responsibility from a previously unknown group called Al Qanoon, or the Law. The group said in a fax to the newspaper Umat that if President Pervez Musharraf didn’t resign, there would be more attacks.
