Update--This will be the first meeting of two highly touted rookie point guards--Seattle’s Sue Bird, the top pick of the draft, and Nikki Teasley, who was chosen fifth by Portland before being traded to the Sparks. Statistically, Bird has the edge; she is averaging a team-high 16.9 points and also 5.4 assists in 36 minutes. Teasley is averaging 5.9 points and 5.0 assists in 29.6 minutes. After winning three of its first four games, the Storm has lost three of four. Seattle also has a five-game losing streak against L.A., dating to July 27, 2000.
