Expert Says Blood Found on Defendant’s Jacket

Drops of Danielle van Dam’s blood were found on David Westerfield’s jacket and on the carpet of his recreational vehicle, a DNA expert testified Thursday at Westerfield’s trial on charges of kidnapping and murdering the 7-year-old.
Police criminalist Annette Peer said chances the blood came from someone else were infinitesimal.
