2 Held on $1-Million Bail in Fatal Party Shooting
Police arrested two Pomona men early Saturday morning on suspicion of killing one man and critically injuring another outside a graduation party Friday night.
Johnnie Luna, 25, and Steve Martinez, 21, are each being held in lieu of $1-million bail, police said. The names of the victims, in their early 20s, have not been released.
Pomona police responded to a call just before midnight Friday at a house in the 1900 block of Miramar Street, where about 100 people were attending a graduation party.
Witnesses told police that a fight broke out after Luna and Martinez were denied entrance. Shots were fired, hitting the two victims. The suspects were arrested when they went to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment, Sgt. Frank Holder said.
