Surprised by Success, Berlin Grinds to Halt

Fireworks exploded, classes were closed, people went on strike, the mail was delivered early and the free beer flowed in Berlin as Germany came to a near stop to see its national team beat South Korea and reach the final.
Like many, student Michael Heindrich said he wouldn’t be disappointed if the team lost in the final after surpassing expectations.
“It doesn’t, doesn’t matter at all,” he said.
