A Spanish-language disc jockey pleaded not guilty in a Burbank courtroom Friday to charges that he sexually assaulted two 14-year-old girls he met through his radio show.

Firmo Martin Rossetti, the on-air morning host on Century City-based KLYY-FM (107.1), entered his plea during formal arraignment on two dozen felony counts of child molestation, rape and oral copulation.

Rossetti is being held on $1.5 million bail. During his brief appearance, Los Angeles County Judge Chesley McKay set a bail review hearing for March 21 and a preliminary hearing for April 22.

If convicted on all counts, Rossetti, 38, could face a maximum of 24 years in state prison.

The disc jockey’s attorneys, James Goldstein and Victor Mastrella, reiterated claims of their client’s innocence after Friday morning’s hearing.

Rossetti was arrested Feb. 28 and charged with sexually assaulting a Long Beach girl in August and January. The assaults were reported by the girl during a visit to her doctor for a sports injury.

A week after Rossetti’s arrest, relatives of a second girl from the San Gabriel Valley contacted authorities, said Burbank Police Lt. Tim Stehr. Police said the girl told them she and Rossetti had five encounters from September to January.
