Masked Gunman Holds Up Pawnshop
A masked gunman held up a pawnshop early Tuesday, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry before fleeing, authorities said.
The heist occurred shortly after 9 a.m. at Simi Pawn Shop in the 1600 block of Los Angeles Avenue, police said.
Two clerks were ordered to lie on the floor behind the front counter until the robber fled.
No one was injured, and officers were unable to get a complete description of the robber because his face was covered, police said.
Officials said it had been more than a year since any of Simi Valley’s pawnshop businesses were robbed.
