Kmart Corp., the largest retailer to seek Chapter 11 protection, said five executives resigned as Chief Executive Jim Adamson reorganizes management.

David Rots, executive vice president and chief administrative officer, and Tony D’Onofrio, executive vice president and chief supply-chain officer, left, spokesman Jack Ferry said. Three senior vice presidents, David Montoya, John Owen and Leo Anguiano, also resigned, he said. The executives left on their own, Ferry said, without giving a reason.

Kmart shares fell 2 cents to $1.67 on the New York Stock Exchange.
