Marines Join Search for Missing Boy
Eighty Marines joined dozens of police detectives Thursday in raking thousands of tons of trash at the city dump in San Diego, searching for clues in the disappearance last week of 2-year-old Jahi Turner.
“We still have not located Jahi and we still have no suspects in his disappearance,” said Police Department spokesman David Cohen.
The boy’s stepfather, Tieray Jones, 23, reported him missing a week ago after leaving the boy alone for 15 minutes at an annex to Balboa Park. Jones said a woman with two children was in the park at the same time, but police have been unable to find the woman.
Earlier this week, police announced that they had found the woman mentioned by Jones. But later they determined that the woman had not been in the park.
