The bride-elect is the daughter of Michael and Denise Ahumada of San Juan Capistrano. She graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from UC San Diego. She graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and is practicing in south Orange County.
The bridegroom is the son Mr. and Mrs. Kim and Virginia Brown of Escondido.
He graduated from San Pasqual High and earned a bachelor’s degree in English and American literature at UC San Diego. He is working toward an MBA at Cal State San Marcos.
An Aug. 31 wedding is planned at St. Edward’s Church in Dana Point.

The groom is the son of Mary Pat and Ed Anderson of Tustin. He graduated from Valencia High and Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in geography. He is the assistant women’s water polo coach at UCI, where he is working on a secondary teaching credential.
