Israel Kills 3 Palestinians by Accident

JERUSALEM —
Israeli soldiers accidentally shot and killed a Palestinian woman and her two young sons Sunday near a military base south of the West Bank town of Jenin, the army announced.
A bomb had exploded nearby, and the soldiers said they saw three “suspicious figures” in a nearby grove and opened fire.
One soldier was slightly wounded by the large bomb that blew up next to a tank.
The Israeli army “expresses deep sorrow over the incident and regrets the loss of civilian life,” a military spokesman said.
