Driver Killed, Another Injured in Collision
One man was killed and another person injured Sunday in a two-car collision at Janss Road and El Monte Drive in Thousand Oaks.
Sheriff’s Capt. Steve Wade said the driver of a BMW was ejected during the crash, which occurred about 4:40 p.m. He was pronounced dead at Los Robles Regional Medical Center at 6:30 p.m. The driver of the other vehicle was treated at the hospital for injuries suffered when the airbag deployed, Wade said.
Details of the crash were not available, but the intersection remained closed three hours after the crash, Wade said.
